1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how White Town LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Gostify platform, including the main website at https://www.gostify.app/ and all Gostify-powered subdomains in the format name.gostify.app (collectively, the "Platform").

This Policy is intended to provide clear and transparent information about what cookies are, which cookies we use, why we use them, how long they remain active, and what choices you have regarding their use. This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, both of which are available at https://www.gostify.app/.

By continuing to use the Platform after being presented with a cookie consent banner or notice, you consent to the use of non-essential cookies as described in this Policy, to the extent that such consent is required by applicable law, including the EU ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Strictly necessary cookies are deployed without requiring your consent, as they are essential for the Platform to function.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or other internet-enabled device) when you visit a website or web application. Cookies are widely used by websites to make them work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be classified according to several criteria:

2.1 By Party

  • First-party cookies: set directly by the Platform (i.e., by White Town LLC) when you visit the website.
  • Third-party cookies: set by a third-party domain other than the one you are visiting, typically used by analytics, advertising, or social media services integrated into the Platform.

2.2 By Duration

  • Session cookies: temporary cookies that exist only for the duration of your browser session. They are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: cookies that remain on your device for a set period of time (as specified in the cookie) or until you manually delete them. They are reactivated each time you visit the website that created them.

2.3 By Purpose

Cookies are grouped into four functional categories, which are described in detail in Section 4 of this Policy: strictly necessary cookies, functional (preference) cookies, analytics cookies, and marketing cookies.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs), local storage objects, session storage, and similar tools. References to "cookies" in this Policy apply equally to these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.

3. Cookie Consent and Legal Basis

3.1 EU / EEA and UK Users

For users accessing the Platform from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our use of non-essential cookies is subject to your prior consent, as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended) and applicable national implementations, as well as the GDPR. We present a cookie consent banner upon your first visit to the Platform, through which you can accept, decline, or customize your cookie preferences by category.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent and are deployed regardless of your preference, as they are technically required for the Platform to operate. All other cookie categories are only activated if you provide your explicit consent. Your consent is recorded and stored, and can be withdrawn or modified at any time.

3.2 US Users

For users accessing the Platform from the United States, our use of cookies for analytics and operational improvement is conducted based on our legitimate business interests. California residents and residents of other US states with applicable privacy laws have the right to opt out of certain tracking activities as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use cookies for targeted or behavioral advertising.

3.3 Withdrawing or Changing Consent

You may withdraw or modify your cookie consent at any time through the following methods:

  • Cookie preference center: accessible through the cookie settings link in the footer of the Gostify website, which allows you to enable or disable cookie categories individually.
  • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.
  • Opt-out tools: for third-party analytics providers, you may use provider-specific opt-out mechanisms as described in Section 5.

Please note that withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred prior to the withdrawal, and does not prevent the use of strictly necessary cookies.

4. Categories of Cookies We Use

4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions made by you, such as logging into your account, setting your privacy preferences, or filling in forms. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for the session. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.

4.2 Functional (Preference) Cookies

These cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you have made in the past, such as your language preference or display settings, and provide enhanced, personalized features. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function correctly.

4.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors use the Platform, including which pages are visited most frequently, how users navigate between pages, and whether users encounter error messages. All information collected by analytics cookies is aggregated and anonymized. We use this data to understand usage patterns and improve the Platform. We do not use analytics data to identify individual users.

We configure analytics tools to anonymize IP addresses where technically available. Analytics data is retained for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months from collection, after which it is deleted or further anonymized.

4.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

As of the Effective Date of this Policy, Gostify does not use marketing or advertising cookies, does not engage in behavioral advertising, does not use retargeting pixels, and does not share user data with advertising networks. If this changes in the future, this Policy will be updated and affected users will be notified prior to any such cookies being deployed. A separate consent prompt will be presented for marketing cookies before they are activated.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Platform are set by third parties whose services we have integrated into the Platform. These third parties may independently set cookies on your device when you use the Platform. The following third-party cookie providers may be present:

5.1 Analytics Providers

We may use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics or equivalent tools to analyze Platform usage. These services may set their own cookies to collect anonymized usage data. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5.2 Payment Processor

Our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., may set cookies during the payment checkout process to facilitate secure payment processing, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable financial regulations. These cookies are set and controlled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe\'s own Cookie Policy, available at https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

5.3 Infrastructure and Performance

Third-party cloud infrastructure and content delivery providers may set technical cookies to ensure reliable delivery of Platform content, manage traffic routing, and protect against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. These cookies are strictly functional in nature.

We do not control the cookies set by third parties and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party service providers whose cookies may be present on the Platform.

6. Cookies on Guest Subdomains

Guest-facing AI assistant pages hosted on Gostify subdomains (in the format name.gostify.app) may set a limited set of cookies for the purpose of maintaining session continuity during a Guest\'s interaction with the AI assistant and collecting anonymized usage analytics on behalf of the Customer. The following applies to these subdomains:

  • Session cookies are used to maintain the continuity of a Guest\'s conversation with the AI assistant within a single browsing session.
  • Anonymized analytics cookies may be used to collect aggregated data on session counts, message volumes, and active users for reporting to the Customer.
  • No marketing, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies are set on Guest subdomains.
  • Guests interacting with a Customer\'s AI assistant via a subdomain are subject to this Cookie Policy as well as the privacy notice provided by the relevant Customer.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their Guests are informed about the use of cookies in connection with the AI assistant, and for obtaining any consents required by applicable law in their jurisdiction.

7. Managing and Disabling Cookies

7.1 Platform Cookie Settings

You can manage your cookie preferences on the Gostify website at any time by accessing the cookie preference center, accessible through the cookie settings link in the website footer. Through this interface, you can view which cookie categories are currently active, enable or disable individual categories (except strictly necessary cookies), and update your preferences at any time.

7.2 Browser-Level Controls

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. The following links provide guidance on managing cookies in commonly used browsers:

  • Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
  • Apple Safari: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/
  • Microsoft Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge
  • Opera: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/web-preferences/

Please note that disabling or deleting cookies through browser settings may affect the functionality of the Platform, including your ability to log in, maintain account settings, and use interactive features. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without impeding core Platform functionality.

7.3 Mobile Devices

If you access the Platform through a mobile browser or application, you can manage cookies through your mobile browser\'s settings. Specific instructions vary by device and operating system. Consult your device\'s user guide or the documentation for your mobile browser for details.

7.4 Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers allow you to enable a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that requests that websites not track your browsing activity. At present, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. The Platform does not currently modify its data collection or cookie behavior in response to DNT browser signals. We will monitor developments in this area and update our approach if a recognized standard emerges.

8. Data Collected Through Cookies

The data collected through cookies on the Platform may include: IP address (anonymized or truncated where technically feasible); browser type and version; operating system and device type; pages visited and order of navigation; time and date of visit; duration of session; referring URL; geographic location at country or city level (derived from anonymized IP); and interactions with Platform features such as button clicks or form submissions.

This data is used solely for the purposes described in Section 4 of this Policy. Cookie-derived data is not combined with other personal data to identify individual users, except where necessary for account security or fraud prevention. Cookie data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

For full details on how personal data collected through cookies is processed, stored, and protected, please refer to our Privacy Policy at https://www.gostify.app/.

9. Cookie Retention Periods

The retention period for each cookie depends on its category and purpose. Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain active for the duration specified at the time they are set. The retention periods for specific cookies are summarized in the tables in Section 4.

In general, we apply the following maximum retention periods by category:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: session duration, or up to twelve (12) months for consent preference storage
  • Functional cookies: up to twelve (12) months
  • Analytics cookies: up to twenty-four (24) months
  • Marketing cookies: not applicable as of the Effective Date of this Policy

We periodically review cookie retention periods and will update this Policy if any changes are made.

10. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, applicable legal requirements, or the Platform\'s features. When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Policy and notify you through a cookie consent banner or via email where required.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy. If we introduce new non-essential cookie categories, we will present a new consent prompt before those cookies are activated.
